I-130 for my wife to be and stepson

Good evening all, we are new to this site and have struggled to find an answer to our question.  My fiance and I are to be married this September in Colorado and we are looking to file for the I-130 shortly after this when she returns to the UK.  We have an idea about the I-130 process and we are start to compile out evidence, however we are really confused in regards to how to apply for my stepson who is 15.  We understand we need to apply for a separate I-130 for him and send off a cheque- however we are querying if we send the application in the same envelope or separately?  Do we need to provide the same evidence as or his mothers application if we are sending in a separate envelope or will a birth certificate and copy of the marriage cert be what is required?

Thank you in advance

Fiance and stepson are oxymoronic

You prepare the i130 as a separate petition but you can mail in same envelope if you choose

YMMV

Same envelope but the packages may not stay together after they are received.  Each individual petition package must be able to stand alone.  Follow the I-130 instructions regarding supporting documetation.

Example.  The immigrant spouse's birth certificate is not needed at the petition stage, but the stepchilds BC is required, in order to evidence the child's relationship to the spouse beneficiary and consequently to the petitioner as step child.

as @payxibka and @pushbrk sugguested to do same envelop but separate petitions.

It is very likely that your both cases will land in different service centers.

Kindly include a letter requesting USCIS to process both petitions together.

My family’s cases are all over the USCIS center and I am getting approvals in episodes.

I am not sure if they will entertain your request still no harm in asking.
