Hi everyone,

my US fiancé has just moved into an apartment from living in the barracks. Does the address change need to be made on our application?
We only have our NOA1 at the moment but have paperwork being sent to his dads in MD he is in CA.
would it be worth changing the mailing address or just leave it at his dads ? He is dad is happy and aware if we get an RFE he will need to send the letter ASAP

thanks In advance :)

If your fiancé can access the mail regularly, then it wouldn’t be an issue and change it during the next steps.
Else you can change the address here

https://egov.uscis.gov/coa/addressChange.do
or call USCIS and get it done, but might take some time for someone to help you out.

We strongly encourage you to update your address with USCIS to ensure you receive all correspondence and benefits from us in a timely manner and avoid possible delays related to your case.

Changing your address with the U.S. Postal Service will not change your address with USCIS. Please update your information with both USCIS and USPS.

Hi,

We are waiting for NOA2, the petitioner will be deployed to oversea in August for 6month and he is going to submit address change to USCIS, I was wondering if our NOA2 will be able to mailing to oversea?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, if the petitioner uses an FPO address stateside than it is shipped overseas to the petitioner's duty station.

Thank you for your response.

Does he still need to contact to USCIS for changing address for our NOA2 even tho all his mails will be transferring to his sisters address?  What if he uses local Japanese address instead of FPO?

Use his sisters address and she can email a copy to him. DON'T use a Japanese address as it will slow the process down. FPO address is fine but if it were me, I would depend on my sister's address.

I see, let me please dowble check, so do address change through online or calling USCIS not just informing to USPS to transferring mails to his sisters address.

Thank you,

The petitioner can do an address change through online to USCIS. He notifies the post office of his new mailing address (sister's address).
