You are currently unable to obtain one as social security offices are closed.

When does your I-94 expire? This is pertinent only if the offices open soon.

Each states DMV has different requirements so what one person may be able to do is not the case of another.

Are you still eligible for a SSN? Your timeline doesn’t say when you entered the US. When does your I-94 expire?

I think you will need an EAD Card to get a driver license in Tennessee. Proof of legal presence—-

(I don’t think a K1 visa will satisfy the second item because it’s only a 90 day visa)

  • Conditional Resident Alien Card (I-551)
  • Valid Foreign Passport with Valid Visa and I-94 attached
  • (Note: The passport must have an English translation)
  • Valid Foreign Passport with I-94W attached
    • Holders of F1, F2, M1, or M2 status should also present a valid SEVIS I-20
    • Holders of J1 or J2 status should also present a valid DS-2019
  • Temporary Resident Identification Card (I-688)
  • Employment Authorization Card (I-766)

Unlikely that you'd be getting a DL without an EAD in most states so the SSN thing is a moot point. Yes you'll need the SSN eventually, but the offices aren't open, and you'll have a long wait for the EAD if you haven't applied yet.

So you entered June 12 as a fiancé, but you married May 1. How does that work?

Anyway, you have until around August 27 to get a SSN as a K1 before your 76 day window closes. Hopefully offices will open so you can get one. But I don’t think you will be successful getting a DL in TN until your EAD is approved.  If you had one of the longer term visas like work or student you could, but your K visa is basically over and your I-94 probably says you are admitted only until around Sept 10. If you got a license, they would expire it around Sept 10 so what’s the point really.
