Kalina and what about the 180 day mark?

Means nothing for them?

There are 180 after we sent I 130 petitions. We have additional 2 weeks to wait hitting 180 days after NOA1.

According the customer service line of USCIS /the phone from USCIS site/ after 180 days of our NOA1 we have to call customer service again and they will check the cases.

Unfortunately according to information from CSC /which my husband receive from local USCIS office/ they don't mind 180 days. They take in mind processing days which are published every month.

So if after two week we don't receive approval we will call customer service line again.

did you case arrived at NVC..............how can we find out about that...............do they send us the mail saying ur case has been transferred to NVC or what................can somebody explain to me please............

What else do they send .........only approval letter!!!!!!!!!!!!?.............and once its reached NVC i believe they will assign a case number and forward it to embassy...............but does the NVC will notify me about the case number and when they will send the documents to embassy............

any info will be greatly appreciated...........

I just called today and my case still hasn't made it to NVC. the approval high only lasts a day or two and then its when will they transfer. trust me this whole immigration deal is nothing but a pain in the bottom.

Both cases touched yesterday and today again. What the hell is going on? I see people don't get touched for a while and then all of a sudden 'bam' and you are approved. In my case it seems like they are taking an awful lot of time :angry:

03/13/2007 - Sent I-130 to Nebraska Service Center

03/20/2007 - Received NOA1 for I-130 from California Service Center

08/14/2007 - Approved!

I-129F timeline

03/21/2007 - Sent I-129F to Chicago

04/04/2007 - Received NOA1 from MSC

08/14/2007 - Approved!

09/14/2007 - Received by Consulate

10/03/2007 - Delivered Packet3 to Consulate

10/12/2007 - Packet3 acknowledged, received Packet4

irene don't be scared. why would they deny you if your case is legitimate. you will be fine

I think I would have for a couple of reasons. One reason is not because it's cheaper ( I think a lot of us would pay more to speed up the process ). The fact that your dealing with one more petition, with a greater chance of making a mistake, that the I-129f catches up with the I-130, or one petition gets approved long before the other, or one does and the other doesn't, etc ,is a good reason. I'm more worried about my stepdaughter who is coming on a K4 but will be 18 when she gets here ( I hope and pray ). How long will it be before she can enroll in college here ? AOS and EAD will have to be done first ? How many semesters will she miss ? etc ? Maybe the K3/K4 will still be worth it, and save a little time at least, since the wait has been so long for decisions on petitions anyway.

Late this night we received approval notice for I 129 F. Via email and updated online status. I am very happy.
