i doubt is it passes..and if so, bush veto it

Vetos can be overridden.

nah, not by the dems..they will not support it.........

Dems are pro-amnesty?

Does a bear sh*t in the woods? Is the Pope German?

The Dems are betting their political future on millions of amnestied illegal aliens to become US citizens and to vote for the party that panders to them...the Democrats. That is Teddy Kennedy's claim to fame and the name of his lame game. The game is pandering and patronage. Teddy is sleazier than George W and has been at it longer.

Cheap votes and cheap labor unite to screw the American people.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

US Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (D-TX)

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995

I love the idea of this bill for several reasons. First of all, it is the most rational bill I have seen so far. Second, it will force everyone in the senate to choose sides. There have been some RINOS and dems that have been saying, "hey! It isn't perfect but it's better than nothing" when talking about their support for that nasty immigration bill that they keep touting. Well here is a better bill! Vote for it or pay the price for your lies! It will help the American people see who is on our side and who is on the side of the illegals. Just in time for the election!

Love the bill! Wait, no big fence! I want a big double layer fence. Maybe some signs saying "Trespassers will be shot" :dead::yes:

The money for the fence has already been approved. Washington is dragging it's feet to build it.

Yep. No more excuses along the lines "better than nothing" or the outrageously stupid "no bill is de-facto amnesty" spin.

I'm not even sure they need go as far as a fence - deserts are generally a natural fence. Surely they'd be better off building some new bases down there and stepping up the patrols.

That is about the most logical thing. Building a fence won't slow the influx.

Yeah, sarcasm is a little hard to convey over the internet. I was serious about the fence though. Maybe you should use your imagination before you insult someone. On a side note, who else knew pedroh was going to be here and get all offended by something someone said here?

I wouldn't mind both. Fence off all but the most inhospitable parts of the border, install sensors and quadrupal the guards. The money saved from not giving the illegals public services would more than pay for it.

the sarcasm was so thick and so easy to spot ... it was virtually dripping from the words ...

From your reaction ... guess no other country in the world shoots lawbreakers caught in the act of committing a crime. :P
