Once receiving DQ from NVC is there anything else to do while waiting for an interview appointment from the consulate? I’m reading that they will send us packet 3 which will need to be completed before they actually schedule an appointment? Is this still the case? Because I can send everything they need in advance... not sure if this would make a difference

Once you are DQ, NVC waits for the consulate to inform them of available interview dates for the upcoming month.  NVC then schedules interviews for the cases in their queue.......after scheduling the interview, NVC sends the case to the consulate.  In my experience, you need the interview letter in order to schedule the medical exam.

You can review the procedures for your consulate in the mean time.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Thank you! I have no intentions of booking my medical appointment until I have my interview scheduled! But here’s a screenshot of Packet 3 simple task just wondering if I should just email this stuff to them now I’m advance...

Thanks.  Consulates have specific procedures....  This is the email we received from NVC at the point "case complete".  5 days later, we received the IL....

There is no longer a packet 3 for IR1/CR1 consular processing. That would be everything you did at the NVC. Just bring all originals plus photocopy to interview.

That’s why I wanted to confirm! So once I’ve received the DQ email from NVC there’s nothing else to do but wait?

Nope. Just sit tight.  They were doing them 6 months out when they shut down.  I anticipate nothing quicker either.  :(
