Hi everyone. So, my wife and I live in Holland. She's American, my passport is Italian, our son's nationalities are Italian and American.

We filed the I-130 to move to the US. Will the interview take place at the consulate in Holland or in Italy?

Stupid question, I know, but, in case it's in Italy, I need to organise other documents to fly back if they take my passport and send it back with the visa... I hope this makes sense.

Thanks

Assuming you have legal residency in Holland, you interview there. Interviews take place in the country of residency.

Note that you might need a police certificate from Italy (and Holland of course), since you've lived there for longer than 6 months I assume :)

And also note that your wife will have to proof intend to re-establish residence in the US, and that you will need a co-sponsor if she doesn't have US based income above the poverty line, and/or US based assets.

Sponsorship has nothing to do with your wife's domicile.   She will need to show that she intends to, or has, re-established domicile.   She has been filing her US tax returns, right?

Yes, and me too. Actually, not filing taxes in the US is not an option... She's obligated and, because I married her, I am obligated, too.
