2 questions, Lawyer & Staples

Hey all, on 12/06/19 I filed the I-129f but I stapled certain parts of it so it'd be in order. Will they reject it because I stapled it?

 

Also, I contacted a lawyer that specialized in Immigration, etc., They gave me a quote on the I-134 and "CP interview."

 

If anyone has reached out to a lawyer, have they offered this service to you? What does it entail? I know about the affidavit but what about the interview part? My fiance lives in Argentina btw.

After reading the title, I was really hoping for a question related to stapling your lawyer. O well.

 

This is primarily a "DIY immigration" forum. Very few will advise you to use a lawyer if your situation is straight forward enough. And even if it is not, you can find a wealth of information about doing difficult cases yourself.

I have seen numerous posts where the community here was way better informed than the original posters lawyer ever was.

 

It's up to you of course, but some research, common sense and this forum is all you really need 99% of the time

If it were up to me, I would love to have done it myself and save a pretty penny. However, I am needing a co-sponsor when it comes to the I-134, and she insisted that I'd get a lawyer and she'd feel comfortable having one to go through this process with me. So, here I am.

A lawyer has no special insight to the I-134 sponsor issue.  The instructions are quite clear.

 

Immigration lawyers mainly feed on your fear of rejection.   I hope you didn't pay a multi-thousand dollar retainer (I was quoted $5k for my first wife's AOS paperwork from an Immigration lawyer in Philly).  I told my wife SHE could pay it, but I wasn't.  I can read and write.. got her conditional green card with absolutely no issues.
