INA 212(a)(6)(C)(i) is misrepresentation. That is a permanent bar on any visa. It needs an I-601 to be waived.

What was the misrepresentation? More history is needed to provide any meaningful advice.

 

The 221(g) would be for missing documentation (along with other causes but don't require your intervention). That is simpler to resolve.
