Wow! Almost 2 years?! That's crazy!

We got lucky in the AOS process. Ours took less than 6 months from beginning to finish.

Let's see how it goes! But I'm planning to apply for the citizenship next year in February when my window opens. What about you?

I’m thinking doing the same , some lawyers recommend finish one process then start the next one , even though it’s legal to do it

Hopefully we get it before that but if I don’t I might file for citizenship

Yeah. I read that some people just apply for it while the i-751 still being processed. The n-400 is much faster!

I know the fees will likely increase by then but it's such a hassle to go through this process that I just want to get it done, you know? That's why I want to apply for my citizenship ASAP.

Thank you. This was my exact thoughts as well. Hopefully the extension letter arrives quickly. Last night I checked for a new i751 and it’s still not updated this we used the available version that expired 12/31/19. Our application will arrive this week after the 3rd but has a February 1st postmark. Since the agency is still slow with uploading an updated form it would seem they would accept this form up until they provide a new version.

Hi Scienceteacher15! Please let us know when you get any updates about the i-751! :)

Did you mail it to Phoenix or Dallas? Thanks!

Hi buddies of the waiting game! My 500-page document will be delivered today. Fingers crossed! Hopefully we will all get our new GCs by the end of the year! 😁

I wish uscis would make the process easier not harder

Hi everyone, hope your process goes fast if you've already filed and if you haven't--hope you're not too stressed! I am getting ready to file this week and was wondering how everyone handled the checks. Did you write two checks for form fee and biometric fee, or did you just write one check for $680?

Perfect, I'll do that then! I also just had a random thought--does it matter if the check comes from the permanent resident or the citizen? I was just going to write it but I don't know if it matters who the check comes from.

i dont think it will be problem coming from your check or spouse's as long as right amount and pay to information.
