Hello,

I just read somewhere that after the interview, someone On VJ needed to submit their child’s biological fathers foreign passport. Is that common?

I thought you just needed the court order and a notarized letter with the fathers consent for the child to immigrate.

I have the court order, long form birth certificate and the notarized letter with the fathers consent. I thought that was all that was needed?

And here I thought I was just about ready to submit everything 😧

I've never heard of a need to present any passport of a step child's other parent.  People are not required to even have a passport unless they are traveling internationally.

That person's case was unusual and it's the first time I've heard of that.  But normally you bring the notarized letter to the interview and they did not.
