Just a little bit confused lol. If my spouse will still be overseas, how does the green card interview work? Do I still need to attend the interview? Or does it take place only after he has arrived in the States?

Also, we both are at the end of our college education. As a result, neither of us have much work experience. I will soon be getting a job with a decent salary (over the 125% required), but I will only have been working about six months at the time I file the affidavit of support. Does time employed matter? Or is it just the salary that is important? Thanks!

You don't attend the interview, only he does, the visa interview will be overseas at whichever consulate handles immigrant cases from Poland. You don't file I864 with the petition, that will come much later, at NVC stage. So you have plenty of time to show your income

You have twelve to 18 months after filing the petition, after marriage, to get a job in the US to establish evidence of current income sufficient to be the sole sponsor.  So if you get married in September and file the petition in October, you'll have until at least October of 2021, perhaps April of 2022, to show evidence of your current income for the I-864.  Or get a joint sponsor.  Good luck!

Thank you so much for the response! That’s a relief to know. Will it take 18 months or longer before he will be able to come to the States? I hear a lot of different time frames. Also, during this period, will he be able to come visit?

The first thing is how long it takes to process at the USCIS service center.  You don't have any control over that.  See the timelines above or google USCIS Processing Times.

NVC processing is faster if you have everything complete and ready.

Ask in the regional forum about processing time in Poland.

If he has a visa, prior to filing, he can visit easily.  Just like anyone else, he needs to show ties to Poland etc.

Sometimes it is hard to get a visa after filing a petition as you have shown immigrant intent.

Poland is now a VWP country as of late last year, so no tourist visa needed, only need to apply for ESTA, much easier to get/renew than a tourist visa

Does the K3 visa allow for him to come here sooner than that?

From the government: "because USCIS now takes less time to adjudicate the Form I-130, the current need for K-3 and K-4 visas is rare." https://www.uscis.gov/family/family-us-citizens/k-3k-4-nonimmigrant-visas

"designated Poland into the Visa Waiver Program (VWP).
