Wise to book a ticket from now?

Hi all,

 

My spouse's interview is on the Feb 12th and I was wondering if it's wise to either book a ticket from now, or after it's approved? I know that even after it's approved they say it takes up to 15 business days to receive your passport back. So knowing all of this would booking a ticket for March 1st be appropriate (or booking a ticket yet at all)? If not, then when would be a good time to book per experience

Do not book a ticket until you have visa in hand.

Passport with the visa in it.

Not wise until visa is received with accuracy and in the passport.

Also, why risk the chance of booking anything right now when you don't have definites?

Don’t book a ticket until you’ve got the Visa in hand there is a possibility that your fiance could be put in adMinistrative processing which I was which took 16 weeks after my interview even though I was approved at interview

Late 2016: Met playing Clash of Kings the West

Feb 2017: Started online "dating"

May 2017: Met in Orlando

July 2017: Arkansas and Seminole (1 night) visit

October 2017: Washington DC visit.

December 2017: Seminole OKC home visit and Amanda  met Chayne's kids and dad.

January 2018:  York England visit Chayne met Amanda's son.

April 2018: London/Paris/York visit we got engaged on April 6th!!

April 19th 2018: packet sent

April 23rd 2018: USPS say packet signed for.

April 25th 2018: Electronic NOA1 received 

April 26th 2018: Cheque Cashed

April 30th 2018: hard copy NOA1 received

June 2018: Seminole visit, Amanda met Chayne's  adult son

You can book it if you want but don’t book anything you’re willing to lose. We booked my fiancées ticket for 11 days after her interview. Got the visa 5 days after her interview in hand. But we knew the risk in booking it and only did because the ticket was so cheap.
