traveling while waiting for AOS interview

Hello,

My wife is adjusting from K1. We received combo AP/EAD card. Starting November 21 USCIS status says: "As of November 21, 2019, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status....." . No interview has been scheduled yet as far as we know or according to the USCIS status page. It is the same since November. My wife is planning on visiting her home country (last time before baby delivery). She is planning on traveling back with the combo card. Questions:

1) Is there a possibility that AOS interview has been scheduled and I am not aware? Should I call USCIS before the travel or it is OK (status online would change if they scheduled interview)

2) Is this safe for her to travel in terms of return? She is traveling between January 30 and February 20, being 6 months pregnant. The worst would be if she is not allowed back because interview was scheduled and we did not show up or something else.

Anmy advice would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I would not be travelling until after her interview and the green card has be received, unless of course she has travel authority’s.. k1 is single entry only..

Here, pregnant women are discouraged from flying once they reach 30 weeks because changes in pressure “may” result in premature birth.. however it’s up to the airlines and your insurances ultimately.. long haul flights are generally more strict than regional.

Regardless of how the timeline interacts with your wife's pregnancy ...

Usually an interview is scheduled 5-6 weeks after you get the notice in the mail. So you're probably fine from that perspective (even if your status updates to 'interview was scheduled' today, it'll probably be for a late Feb interview, if not March).

You don't have a timeline filled out, and your profile doesn't show your field office, so it's hard to say if you can reasonably expect to be waiting quite a while for an interview, there's a good chance of it happening any day now, or somewhere in between.
