what's the best time to apply for CR1 visa

There really is no "best time" in terms of a calendar date. I would say the best time to file is when you feel like you can present a solid and well prepared case, especially when dealing with the Casablanca consulate. If that means waiting a little longer to file so your partner can make another visit so have more evidence to submit, then maybe not filing right a way is a good idea. Or you could file now assuming you have already made several visits during the K-1 process and then again to get married.

As for how long the process takes, that varies too. It will vary depending on the service center processing your case, as well as how quickly things are moving at the NVC and at the consulate once you get to those stages of the process. I want to say that average CR1 processing times are still about 10-14 months from start to finish.

File anytime after you are in possession of the marriage certificate from Rabat

and be ready to provide proofs of relationship from when you said it started

(lately Casa embassy is making couples come up with chats from as far back as 2013 and 2014 when they said they originally met)

if you married in 2019 the USC should claim you on 2019 tax returns to start showing a real relationship

she should be the one to write here as the first part of the process is all what she needs to know and do

only after you have to do medical and criminal reports do you need to do documents

BTW you should send her a POA (power of attorney ) so she can do the tax information and add you

tell her to ask one of us that have gone thru the CR1 successfully what she needs to do

I do think that 6 visits is a good number. But it's not me you need to convince, it's the consular officer. If you feel like you have a strong case, might as well file as soon as you can.

To be honest from everything that I have read it's no one thing that gets you approved or denied, it's the summation of the documents that you submit or they find.  The key is keep very good documents.  Take lots of pictures with friends, family and places you go.  Things that we have gathered in addition to normal family and places we have been in Morocco, are pictures of other American/Moroccan couples that we have met up with.  I honestly don't know if this will help, but my logic was, they want to see normal couple relationships, which is what we presented.  We actually took a couples vacation with another American and Moroccan to Chefchaouen.  It was a wonderful trip with lots of great photo opportunities.  One of the other types of pictures that I've heard people talk about were activities that you have done together such as cooking together.  It shows he have similar interests.

Chats, I have a friend her husband had his interview last week, she had been to Morocco 3 or 4 times this year, but because she didn't have her chat logs from the very beginning of their relationship, they were placed in AP.  Other things you should consider are placing your spouse on your health insurance, having a joint rental agreement or on some sort of bank note.  You can also add them on your car insurance and I've seen some add to credit cards and bank accounts.  I have a credit union so they wouldn't allow me to add my husband to my account.

Anyway best of luck to you.
