Travel time...

Hi everyone! 
for the travel time out of country for the N400 form I just have a quick question. 
We live right near the border of Canada so we travel there pretty often to visit my sister there. We don’t ever stay longer than a day or 2 & sometimes we’re only there for a few hours but we go at least 4-5 times a year sometimes even more. I can’t remember exact dates of when we go every single time there’s probably over 10 trips total... what are the requirements when filling that portion out?

Any trip outside the USA needs to be recorded to the best of your recollection/passport stamps (including trips to Canada).

 

The day of departure and the day of return are not counted by the IO as time spent outside the USA (when determining physical presence requirement is met)

I just tried this and no records are found. Very interesting, I know for a fact that I'm traveling outside of the country approx. every other month

On the website it also states the below:

The above being said----when I tried it when I was doing my N400, sometimes it would bring up a blank page, and sometimes it would bring up my information when entering in my "older" expired foreign passport number....so go figure.

 

For my N400 I just ended up submitting a FOIA for border records from both Canada and the US...had no passport stamps to rely on being Canadian, and certainly could not remember exact dates over 5 years since I'd traveled about 2 dozen times back and forth.
