I  pray that I am posting in the correct forum.

I was told today that I have to have another spinal fusion.  I was injured on my job and we thought that the first process would work. I was told by the surgeon today, that he need to remove 2 bolts from my L-4 & L-5; and fuse the bottom of my L-5. He  believes this will stop the majority of my numbness, chronic pain,  weakness of my leg etc... I cried today because I was given a walking cane. I have fallen a couple of times because of my nerves in my spine.... I was told that we need to do it asap.

They are booked up until the first week of January 2020. He told me it is necessary.  I'm very nervous concerning this again. The first one has not worked. He told me that my spouse is required to be with me for surgical consultation in a few weeks. Because he is my beneficiary and my husband.

My closet relative lives in California and he is newly married. He can't come 3500 miles and take care of me for six to twelve weeks.

We at at the NVC stage now. Any advice would be app8from my VJ family.

The X-rays and the MRI is showing where they should have done the bottom of my L-5 in the first surgery.  The pain is unbearable. No medicine can ir has stopped the pain. The double epidurals that I was recieving in my spine (on both sides), has caused me to have to get a partial. Please advice me what to do..

Any family member or friend can be with you / i am the mother of one who has gone thru 5  back surgeries (3 on neck alone) and i am his contact for all surgeries and care giver

and none of the epiderals helped

and often they should go futher (but insurance does not let them)

as for immigration not sure there is any way to speed the process

and i really have a lot of sympathy for your pain

you said this is work related / call a lawyer and get the nursing care you will need plus a driver to PT ( and when they say start the PT ,  do it )

Thank you for your quick response.  Family that I have are not able to do anything for me. They are people that I pray for on a daily basis because I love them.

I have other issues but, I have a lawyer for the injury. I will look into it concerning the nurse. But, I really didnt want to say this on here, I dont want people that smoke (drugs, do alcohol, and manipulators taking care of me).

Ma'am, I love them but sometimes you have to separate from your own family.

I will call my lawyer tomorrow concerning a nurse. I'm already up against a major business concerning the injury. More logs on the fire, if I say so.

Call NVC and complain to them they might expedite yours process. Sory for the pains . You will be fine

First week in January as she says for her surgery /

i don't see a way NVC can go thru all this work with the embassy in just 3 1/2 to 4 weeks

bigger issue may be "the USC is not working and fighting for a settlement from a job injury so how will she support the immigrant

should be plenty of jobs for him in Albany Ga but for the interim of coming and not working how will OP pay for health insurance, etc

Let me add more information so you will understand. I'm working and in the state that I'm working is not a alright to work state. I gross $46,000 a year. Plus, I have savings and have been saving for years I was raised to do that.

My husband has a degree and due to the church that I'm a member with, they have leads lined up for my husband to work. He is also a minister. So far,  my church has been good to me.

I'm not trying to do anything to get ahead. I am in labor pains daily (lol), and it's not a joke. As, I sit here now I'm in the neurologist office trying to see what might be done to hold off for my husband.

I've been working all my life, and an opinion can always be given. I don't  get upset about things of that nature. I force myself to go to work everyday,  that is the kind of woman I am. And, my husband has an ITIN number and he has all his paperwork on his medical, dental,  vision, etc insurance through my employer.

I came to get advise, not to be told the type of person someone may thinks that they believe I am. I'm a helper and I love Jesus, my husband people, life, working, and helping others.

The funny thing is that I want them to get me the way I was before, my injury happened.  With my employer the accident happened due to negligence of another worker.

I have plenty of muscle relaxers, and gabapentin. P/T, doesn't seems to help, but we are continuing with it. I love my husband and have for a few years and he's worth waiting on.

Thanks for all the advice, but I'm not after anything from my job. They just need to correct  what was damaged.  And, my neurologist disagrees with the orthopedic surgeon concerning my surgery.  He said, I should be able to wait a little while longer.

i did not say you were any type of person /  i could never do that as i do not know you

you said you were waiting for surgery due to injury at work and surgery was needed ASAP

i responded to that

if you have strong church ties they will help i am sure

but if you need medical care for a work related injury that will require a lawyer

and trying for expediated in this short time frame is hardly likely as there is less than 4 weeks to surger

forgive me ,  as i said my son has had 5 back surgeries and i do not take your pain lightly

I have a lot of sympathy for your cause

and i know PT does not help when it is so bad surgery is needed / it only makes a slipped disc worse

and i had gabapentin for shingles till i read the side effects

untill i heard about the dangers of this drug on TV and then reading about it

According to the authors of a 2010 study paper, people with preexisting kidney disease may experience potentially fatal toxicity when taking gabapentin. Gabapentin may cause other long-term effects, including memory loss, weakened muscles, and respiratory failure.Nov 21, 2018

but if you need care after surgery,  it should be provided under your health care plan or the

Work comp will pay for surgery and pay her 66 2/3 of her salary tax free while she is out. She will receive $$$ in the end too, but she’s on a long road to recovery  I’ll keep praying
