First thank you so much to everyone on the site you all have been a life saver. 

 

We have an interview date in Dublin Ireland on Jan 7 for the k1 visa 

 

we called to be put on a waiting list for an earlier date but the embassy said they don’t call anyone anymore about canceling appt anymore . Does anyone know what we should do to be put on a list to get an earlier date? When we go onto the website it doesn’t let us have a choice of any dates .t hank you so much

It sounds like by what you wrote that the embassy will not call anyone to come in if there has been a cancelled appointment. If that’s the case there doesn’t seem anything you can do and that a waiting list may not exist? 
Do you schedule your interview or the embassy? If you do - then I would check ustraveldoc site multiple times a day for an opening. 
Also don’t forget things will be running a bit slower with the holidays coming up- many US holidays in the next couple months. (Days closed/staff on vacation)

Packet 3 Sent : 11/10/13.. Had to schedule interview appointment and attach confirmation receipt to packet

Interview Date : 12/1/14                           Interview Result : Approved !

Visa Received : 12/10/14 picked up at Jacmel location

US Entry : 12/15/14 Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Apply for Social Security Card: 12/30/14 Connecticut

Marriage: 1/26/15

 

Adjustment of Status

CIS Office : Hartford                                  Filed : 3/18/15

NOA : 3/25/15                                            Biometrics : 4/15/15

Approved: 8/31/15                                     Received: 9/8/15

 

EAD

CIS Office : Hartford                                  Filed : 3/18/15

Received: 6/20/15

Filed: 8/14/17 at VSC                                 NOA: 8/15/17 Received 8/21 by mail

Revisit ustraveldocs website and check your embassy's schedule for cancelations that leave an open interview slot. Then cancel yours and rebook using the new open interview slot.
