Adjustment of status through marriage - from F1 to green card

Hi Guys,

This is Ally and Axel here, we have been dating for the past 4 years while I've been on a F1 visa and I am now almost complete with my master. We are planning on getting married next year probably in April 2019 because I will be travelling back home during Christmas break  and we'll have to wait for 3 month before getting married due to the "90 days intent rule".

It's not easy to read post about couples who have adjusted from F1 to green card through marriage. Most of the post we see are about K1 visa holder. We would like to know if any of you have gone through the same process than us and if you could share your story?

Also we were highly recommended by some friends who went through the same process to get a lawyer. Have you guys got one? Has it made the process smoother?

And finally, could you recommend someone in the Austin area that's reliable and at a reasonable cost?

Thank you!
