We applied on Sep 18th

Went weeks without hearing anything, called SAVE to check in, and visited social security office twice and was just told to wait.

Yesterday we got a letter saying "we cant complete your application because immigration failed to approve your application. Please contact us when you can give us the documents we need"

(side note that one of the case udpates in SAVE was yesterday which is the same day we got the letter so is there a chance they are still working on it?)

I will be calling USCIS later today but I am kinda at a loss, the i94 expires next week and he needs to SSN to get a drivers licence. What do I do? Going to the Social security office has been useless.

I think the I-94 need to be valid at least 2 weeks or more when applying. I think you need to wait until he gets his EAD or green card.

As consolidation depending on your state a SSN won:t guarantee a drivers license. Most of the states want to see an EAD or green card to issue a DL.

I also have not received my husbands green card... I am worried because at the airport the officer had trouble finding his papers, but said he did after, but it was confusing. I wish I didnt check mark the YES on the DS260 so I could have just applied at the office.

Hi I know this will sound dumb... but what is the I 94 and EAD?

I-94 is the document that shows his status, that he entered on a K1 and is kind of like a count down of our 90 days we have to get married

EAD is Employment authorization document
