NVC Calling Tips

I've been trying to call NVC but it's not working.

 

It either play automated message then hang up OR play automated message and allow me to wait for 1 hour or more than get disconnected.

Hi,

 

I call at 7:00AM (6:59AM) and I get a representative within 20 to 30 minutes each time.

Hey, mind if I ask what timezone that's on? My wife is gonna start calling soon since it's about time for us to get our case number and I couldn't find the timezone for the call centre on the NVC site.

I am not sure about the NVC's time zone but mine is Eastern Standard Time

I have called at 7.15, 7,30 and once at 3 PM. Every time i took between 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hrs.

 

You really dont need to call to get your case number.

You will receive it by Email soon enough.

I got it within the time frame that was on the NVC page

They are currently working on Okt.21 cases. Additionally you have to count the days it takes from USCIS to NVC. Mine took 14 days for shipping. around 5-6 weeks from NOA 2 until Case Number

 

NOA 2: Sept 25th

Case Sent: Okt 9th from USCIS

Case Number: November 7th

@Jamie Solo In your case its for sure another 3 weeks of waiting. 

 

@G_ngan There are 2 different automated messages. One is the 'do you know you can see your case online via ceac bla bla' the other once starts similar but says something like 'Due to high call volume the wait time can exceed 30 min'.

Just drop the calls until you hear the 'high volume' call. Then just wait in line
