DS-160 confirmation number is different from appointment confirmation number

Hi there,

I recently scheduled an Interview appointment for my k1 visa but while updating my

account /portal on the US website, I noticed that the option where you could input a new DS-160 confirmation number wasn't in the update which means I couldn't add the new DS-160 barcode number but I continued any way, meanwhile, after submitting, I noticed that the old DS-160 Confirmation number Which I used the last time I applied still appears  on my appointment confirmation page.

Any suggestion please?

Call the consulate about 9am on this number 01 227 8955 if you are not in Nigeria then start with +234 follow the auto voice and request to speak with an agent who will fix the problem for you.when calling have your passport number handy and the new AA number.

I don't know what you mean by ds160 confirmation number is different from appointment confirmation number.but I know for sure that the AA number on your ds160 bar code must be the same number on your appointment confirmation page.its a common problem people whom has applied for a visa before tend to have if you call the consulate help line the fix it for you.i had them same experience as well.or risk been sent back on interview day to go reschedule.just my 2 cents

To correct this you do either of the two solutions below:

 

1. Submit an inquiry at the CGI website, tell them your case number and your name and your new application ID, they will correct it.  https:/cgifederal.secure.force.com

 

2. Follow the link  https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/applicanthome, clicked on "Provide Feedback" on the menu on the left, chose "Online system errors" on the "reason" drop down menu, write about the discrepancy from the new DS-160 application number and the schedule confirmation that was sent to you in the "comments" box, and attached a photo of your DS-160 application confirmation.  Shortly there after you will receive a scheduled confirmation that has the new DS-160 application number.

Start new application as F-1, at some point you click update profile update AA number.

Then start new application as K-1, your AA is updated already.

 

System bug does not allow K-1 update profile AA number, only non immigrant can do that.
