I-130 document change mid process- what to do

There is still not activity(almost 11 months) by USCIS on our CR1 I-130 application. The processing times have become so long I am sure others will encounter this problem.  I had to renew my passport recently and now it has a new passport number.  My wife will also need to do the same with her passport.  What is the process to notify the Service center to update the change in these documents?   I am US citizen and wife is Mexican citizen.

No process required. Your wife will provide the new number with the ds260

No issue!   My wife got her new passport, with her married name, right before the interview.  The CO can make changes like that.   Since you have it before doing the DS-260 just change it on there!

Go to the USCIS website and check where they are at at your corresponding field office with the i130s. If your case is before the date stated you need to make an inquiry stating your case is out of normal processing time. You will get an email. When I did it I got an email saying they had assigned my case to an officer and I should receive a response in 60 days, at exactly 60 days I received an email saying I was approved. It wasn’t for an i130 but inquiries all work the same
