Extra Documentation Required after Interview

Hi everyone,

I went for my interview on 25th September at the London Embassy and all was good apart from they had misplaced our marriage certificate and I had to submit some more paystubs to prove my wife's income. They didn't take the evidence there and then, they wanted me to go home and scan it and send it via my CEAC account. They asked to drop an email to say when I had done this. This was done on 26th. The day after my interview.

The lovely lady who interviewed me said its usually pretty quick after re-submitting evidence. But I'm curious to how long 'quick' is? As its the only thing that's left to do to get my VISA.

How do I follow up on this to the Embassy to see where I'm at? Has anyone experienced this? And if they have, how long were they waiting?

Thanks everyone.

My husband interviewed in London. We had to submit a document and he was issued the Visa about a month after we submitted it. Everyone's experience will be different. Hopefully you wont have to wait too long!

Thanks everyone.

I've been looking at my CEAC Visa Check every day, haha. I got approved this afternoon. So overall it took about a week and a half for them to approve my extra documents.

I'm now awaiting the return of my passport with VISA 🙂
