Hi

I had my interview on December 12 at 9:15am. We were there 15 minutes before my interview.

The office was super nice, asked me following questions:

- Who is the petitioner?

- Where do he live?

- Where and How did you guys met, just tell briefly.

 - Marriage date.

- If you have done any crime?

- Travel in the last five years outside canada and USA?

- Longest stay in USA.

It took like 2 minutes max. My interview was very to the point. He then asked me if I got the domestic violence pamphlet.

He was typing the entire time on the computer while I was answering.

Finally he told me  "I intend to approve your visa". He said he would try to print it today, if not today then definitely tomorrow. I was super happy, he could see that on my face, he even passed me a huge smile and said congratulations. :)

I checked the status the very next day, it was "ready".

- Got an email from Canada post on 13 December that my parcel was picked up. It was ready to pick up on December 14. I was still in Montreal at that time. Got back to Vancouver quite late, so we picked it up on 15 December.

@chapod21, How was interview today?

Please share your experience.

Thank you

Hi

My wife and son’s interview went well, they waited for two hours but the interview itself was 3 minutes. The consular officer approved the visa and now we are just waiting on the passports.

If bringing young children pack snacks and small toys. The long wait with a one year old was long and stressful as he got bored and tired.

Only CR/IR (sponsor is a US citizen) category DQed in October 2022 has got IL. Family based category (F2) are still in queue to get IL for October. The website mentions F2 cases DQed in August 2022 has been scheduled interviews.
