  1. @Waiting_ever Good! So happy for you! though not as smooth as you would've liked (obviously) but at least it's in the past now. Nothing to do except to look forward to your move. Congrats again!
  2. oh no.. okay, hope everything will work out for you. Let us know how it goes at the end. finger crossed.
  3. Hi, just wondering if you've finally received your passport. Sorry, i don't have answers for you since i don't have any experience and am still in the "waiting for interview letter" stage. hope all went well and smooth for you finally.
  4. I already made the trip from Ontario to US (through buffalo). Everything went smoothly. they asked a bit of questions (nothing out of the ordinary) like how long am i staying in the states, etc. also reminded us that we have to wait for our interview in Canada or might jeopardize our visa. He asked us to pop the trunk (i guess to see if our amount of luggages matche our days of intended stay). the two countries are visa-free, but i've heard if they suspect you are trying to enter the state and not come back to canada, they can turn you away at the border.
  5. Hi all, I'm a Canadian citizen that got DQ recently and now waiting for my interview. My husband is a greencard holder and lives in the States. I have to sign a document in the States soon. I'm planning to drive and stay for one night only. I'll be with my two young kids and my husband (he will drive up to canada and drive to the states with me and back). I'm wondering if I'll be rejected at border or will my entering the states affect my forthcoming interview. Is there any proof i can bring or any way i can show the immigration border that i have full intention to return to canada? Any experience or suggestion is greatly appreciated!
  6. nope. just says which consulate your interview is scheduled for and will notify you once they have confirmed an interview date with the consulate.
  7. Hi all, Finally got DQ-ed today. Submitted documents on Mar 2 and got RFE on May 26. submitted additional documents on May 27 and got DQ-ed today. Now the waiting continues... Good luck to all.
  8. Hi everyone, I know this is an old thread, i'm wondering if any one has more current information? I've resubmitted documents on May 27th 2022, per NVC's website, as of today (July 25th, 2022), they should be reviewing documents submitted to them on May 30th 2022. That means it has pass my resubmission date. Is anyone going through the same thing?
  9. I'm not from pakistan, but my husband (greencard holder) filed for me and our kids. here is a rough timeline for you: I130 filed - April 13 2021 case received - May 15 2021 I130 approved - Jan 17 2022 Documents and fees submitted to NVC - Mar 14 2022 ** below is my guess only, since i'm not DQ-ed yet** DQ - Early June 2022 Interview date at consulate - June 2024 Entry to USA (if visa approved) - Aug 2024 so, your brother still has a way to go. around 2-3 years minimum. Good luck.
