My wife came here on a K1, we got her first chicken pox vaccine before we filed for her AOS, now her interviews coming up in a month or so, should we go get the second part of the series before her interview? We really don't want to, the price is a little high and it messed my wife's arm up quite a bit after she had it done. What do you guys think?

They are not concerned about the completion of the vaccinations or boosters for the interview only that the vaccinations have been started, and documented by a civil surgeon on a vaccination supplement.

My husband got his shot in Brazil and that was it (I didn't even know there was more than one shot... ).

The CS marked on his I-693A form that his vaccines are complete - so I'm sure yours are too  .

In the interest of your wife's health, I would recommend that you complete the second vaccination anyway. There is a reason why disease are vaccinated against, not just to fulfill green card requirements. ;)

I got the "Pox" when I was 25. A year before the vaccine came out. It is a HORRIBLE thing to get as an adult. I was down for about 3 weeks and still have the scars to show for it.

If I can help it, I'm not vaccinating my kids against it because it doesn't guarantee immunity for life...but as for adults, oh yeah get the vaccination.
