USC moved while beneficiary is waiting for interview

Hi all!

 

So I’m in need of advice. I am the USC applying for my husband. We got DQ back in May of this year and we have yet to get an interview date. During the NVC phase, I was working 2 jobs to show that I make above the poverty guidelines. After I got DQ, I had a family matter which resulted in me not working and eventually moving to another state. I did get another job but I will barely make the poverty guidelines. I do have assets under my name which I can use to show that I can financially afford my husband to live here that I never originally put on the I-864 submitted. 

 

My question is do I need to fill out another I-864 form on the ceac website with my current income and my assets (even though I’m already DQ) or could my husband just explain the situation to the CO and give them paperwork to show my work income/assets in my name? I’m trying to avoid getting a 221g asking for more financial proof.

What actually matters is if your 2018 tax transcript meets the poverty guidelines. Mine did not meet the requirements although I do now and I showed them my recent paystubs. Still used a joint sponsor..

You don't need to reupload anything, just have an updated I864 + other required income documentation ready for your spouse to bring to the interview, as well as possibly lining up a joint sponsor. Also make sure you fill out I865 (sponsor change of address; you'll have to do this every time you move (and so will any joint sponsor you may use) until the requirements of the I864 are fulfilled)

I am well above the poverty guidelines on my 2018 tax transcript. But I’ve been hearing that current income is what they prefer to look at when it comes to financially supporting someone.

I know everyone says this but I’d rather not want to use a joint sponsor. 😅 my husband got an interview for October 22nd so just about exactly a month away. 
 

so I would need to fill out a new I-864 with my current job income (I have a letter stating my hours and my hourly pay) and also add my assets under the assets section. I currently have 3 properties under my name and I am the only owner. What kind of documents do I need to show for my properties? Could a print out of my property on the city’s tax website be sufficient or do they need more?
