Ok lol. I've never seen that mentioned anywhere before.

It was a bigger deal about 15 years ago when the IMB rules went into effect,  still rears its ugly head from time to time

YMMV

Don't sign the passport photos unless the person looking at them can actually see what the name is. They don't want signatures on the passport photos, only the name written so they know who is who (yes sometimes that's not clear). I remember a case back when we filed our i-129f, a straight couple from USA-England received an RFE for not writing their names on the back of the passport photos. You'd think USCIS could've figured out who was who, but apparently not.

Too late. I've sent it. I printed my name and signed. I think he just signed. Hopefully they will have mercy lol

You should be fine then, since they can at least see your name.

His picture is only signed but hopefully they can put two and two together. I feel like I've read here so many times to sign and date them lol.

Yeah I don't know why some people say that. Sometimes they want the name on the back of the passport photos, but many are approved without it anyway. Dates and signatures are even more useless on those photos.

For the regular photos on the other hand (if you choose to send a few of those), that's where dates are highly recommended.
