he uses facts from michelle malkin's book invasion, which also is based on stats posted by supremacist groups and whatnot.. isnt that biased? she is linked to hate groups as vdare.com

nice unbiased fact ah

They don't bother to look beyond what is they want to hear. We have a few xenophobes right here on this forum...The one that stands out in my mind is - "they live in clown houses and they rape our women" - AddieGoodvibes.

Biased or not - we all know how long the K visas and other visas take to process, and we know a lot of stories when it took so long for no obvious reasons... And AOS: how many of us are stuck in the FBI name check delay?

The facts about the bill (the 1 through 10 paragraphs) are true! And I still don't see why breaking the law should be rewarded.

he/she is a xenophobe, i also remember that quote that illegal immigrants were lowering the real state of the neighborhoods, without any facts, just cuz there are latinos living near you, that makes ur neighborhood bad, u know, the noisy mexicans can't live like a civilized person

guys - these topics really divide our forum. they are absolutely important to discuss and educate each other about, but the quote above in Steven's post is exactly what we should be avoiding.

let's remain civil please!

Laura, with all due respect - when such statements are made here on this forum, IMO - they should be exposed for what they are. I wasn't really active yesterday and then noticed a whole slew of threads and posts regarding illegal immigration - riddled with inflammatory remarks and images. I agree that civility is what is needed when discussing such a heated topic - but we also can't turn a blind eye when outrageous statements are made such as the one I quoted. I have yet to see anybody who sides with AddieGoodvibes' opinion about illegal immigration, openly admonish him for making such a statement. In this case, silence is pathetic.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

for starters, he's slandering the Casa de Maryland, which supposedly tells the aliens how to break the law.. again, informing them of their basic rights (cops or ICE entering ur house without a warrant) is not enabling them, or helping break the law.. legal or illegal, they still have their rights.. he doesn't say that place also gives ESL classes, help latinos get jobs and defends them from unscrupulous employers who don't wanna pay them and etc etc etc..

Let me ask you this: Would it be a fair statement that the Casa de Maryland is designed to provide services to a good number of illegal aliens? I'd imagine that the vast majority of day laborers and domestic workers are precisely that: illegal aliens. Why should the taxpayer fund those activities?

then, with the generalization that allll illegal aliens come to murder, rape and kill.. withouth any numbers whatsoever to back up his statement...

Actually, that generalization wasn't even made. What the columnist said was that an inproportionate number of illegals engages in criminal behavior including theft, rape and murder. That's far from saying that all illegals come here to commit violent crimes. It just points to the undisputable fact that there are more bad apples among the illegal crowd than there are among other groups. How you derive what you said from this statement is beyond me. Now, if you have facts contradicting what the columnist says in this regard, please share.

I'm just going to add that if you see a post like this then let us know. We can't do anything if we haven't seen it, I know for a fact that I simply don't have the time to read EVERY single post here.

No reaction may not be turning a blind eye necessarily, we may just simply have not seen it at all.

For sure. It actually took me awhile to figure out what the hell 'clown house' means. I'm sure he didn't invent that term himself either - he most probably is regurgitating what others are saying. Negative attitudes towards desegregation in South worked that way also - it was so commonplace to say something outrageously prejudice, nobody noticed it.

Well, then I think someone should say something that does help. Watching how people attack each other without saying anything it doesnt help either. How come you just are not making any comments about the racists posts?? and just about a comment from someone who pointed out how mean some people can get? I just want to know, I am not trying to be rude, I just would like to hear why, maybe you are seeing something that i am not.
