Hi,

I came to the US on a K1 and just filed I-485, I-765, and I-131. I sent a fee for each form: $1225, $410, and $575 respectively. I have just found out that I only needed to pay the $1225 fee.

Has anyone here done similar and if so, what was the outcome? I am really hoping they will just disgard the other 2 abd continue with processing.

Regards,
Ian

You have 2 options, you can cancel/void the other 2 checks($410 & $575) so they don't go through. or cancel all 3 and resubmit your packet all over again with 1 check. it's up to you what route you take.  whoever is processing your stuff, should catch that and return the package to you to correct and resubmit....but who knows about that.

I also found this below in another forum:

You paid more than what you should or you paid twice. (E.g. You have submitted and paid for I130, I485, I765, and I131 concurrently for you adjustment of status which should cost you $1760. However, because you didn't realize that fees for I765 and I131 are waived when they're filed concurrently, so you paid the extra $410 + $575. In this case, USCIS will return either return all the fees and forms asking for you to resubmit it correctly, or return part of the packages and fees to correct your mistake)

It is difficult to say what USCIS will do with your "free money."

Next time, suggest that you thoroughly read and heed all of the official USCIS forms and instructions. With regards to your specific case, the "Special Instructions" tab on the USCIS I-485 link mention in detail about the fees structure associated with concurrent filing of the AOS/EAD/AP:

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)
