It is not that I don’t understand that.  Originally you stated that you would only ask for the documents from the joint sponsor IF they were asked for at the interview.

 

Your revised plan to be prepared with them AT the interview is much better, IMO.

I said i have a joint sponsor if needed. But they were only going to send me the stuff if i get asked for it. Since nobody asked for it, there was no need for the joint sponsor to send paperwork to me. But they are gonna do it anyway now.
