I have never seen anyone them in Texas, they seems to be more based in west coast and liberal states in the North.

 

Agreed.  There is/was a group generally located in the Deep South, but stretching pretty far at one time, and thankfully is fairly marginalized now, that used to do the same thing, attacking in numbers and hiding their identities.  I believe in many localities, they had local law enforcement and the judicial system on their side as well.

 

Antifa is simply another version.
