Hello,

Has anyone ever withdrawn a case? I had to send in letter to withdraw one of my I765 cases because I had sent two in. I sent two in because I had sent in fee with my renewal and it was no necessary, I was advised it would get rejected so I sent in another. Turns out it did not, they just sent check back and now there’s two cases processing. How long did take for you if you have gone through this for that to process? I’m so afraid this will delay my case past the 180 day extension and I would loose my job.

I withdrew the first case I sent in since it was the last NOA I received.

May be wait till they respond in terms of rejection or NOA for the second submission. You don’t wanna do anything in haste again like you did the first time.

That’s exactly what I thought of doing, leaving it as is. I called USCIS two times and the first agent I spoke to advised me to send in withdrawal letter. I did not trust the answer given previous experiences with USCIS phone agents and called again. The second agent transferred me to a supervisor and they called me back 3 hrs later. The supervisor told the same to send in letter with case I wanted to withdraw. I asked him several times if I should just leave as is because of what happened before and he kept saying “ You CAN’T have two cases pending” but to do as I wished, basically.

I sent letter and it arrived yesterday. I’m hoping for the best. And it doesn’t delay things. I don’t see withdraw estimate times anywhere. I guess it’s not a common process.
