Proof of income

Hello,

 

Last year I worked 3 jobs and earned almost $50k but I quit the other 2 jobs and started a new one last march. so I have 2 jobs right now. FT and PT

am i still good in poverty guidelines even though I am new on my FT?

Depends on what your consulate wants to see.

I-129F asks for annual income and a letter regarding you current employment status.

 

It doesn't ask about last years income.

The I-129F doesn't ask for anything regarding income.

 

The I-134 asks about current income, and documentation supporting that income should be provided (i.e. pay stubs, employment letter, etc.). A tax return copy or transcript may or may not be requested by the CO.

This is what typically is asked for at the interview:

 

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form (https://www.uscis.gov/i-134) K1/K2 Interview Preparation Instructions – English (February 2014)  Page 3 of 9 with an original signature will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134. Most embassies ask for 1 year others 3 so check your requirements from your embassy's P3 requirements.
