Very true - just didn’t fancy the extra trip back here. I just checked my passport number in SAVE and it’s saying 6 days to verify me so I can handle that.

Social Security offices are dreadful.

Yep - definitely an experience. Felt like an NHS waiting room in the winter with everyone and their colds.

 

anyhow, case returned to agency same day so I guess that’s not all that bad. Should have that in a week or so :)

Scratch that - my alien number returns "Case returned to agency", but my passport number is still saying waiting time of 6 days. I'll post an update if I hear anything back

Just wanted to add to this. I arrived in January and pretty much had the same problem as you. My SS card ended up coming 8 weeks later because DHS entered my first and middle name as two first names rather than two separate names.

NOA1 Text & Email:                               20th Feb. 2018

NOA1 Hard copy Received:                  24th Feb. 2018

That happens a lot on passport scans. I don't know if British passports have a little glitch that messes with the DHS scan at entry. Can you tell me what your I-94 said? Did it show the same...First and middle run together?

Yeah, it showed the same thing on i-94. First and middle names together.
