Hello guys. Im sooo confused right now. So i filed i-130 for my husband last year on August and recently got approved and the documents were sent to NVC. Last year since i had hivena birth to a baby l, i could not work anywhere officially and tutored at home instead. So this year when i filed the tax return i paid tax and did not get any refund. The question here is, what kind of document should I send to NVC about my employment? I dont have w2 form and employment verification. What self employed people do in this case? Im planning to get a job right after the college exams.

Just submit tax return with all schedules and all 1099s regarding earnings you received.  Also send most recent 6-months  paychecks (bank statements) you earned for you works.

You can submit what you have.  The majority of people I help them with their petitions are self-employed (only receive 1099-MISC).

I think You need a sponsor. You currently have cash income that you do not deposit in your bank Check income required according to your household size for I864 form

That's fine.  Your "current income" as a self employed person is found on the "total income" line of your 2018 tax return.  If it's enough to qualify, fine.  If not, get a qualified joint sponsor.

She DID deposit it.  She reported it on a tax return.  Even if she hadn't deposited it, she reported it.  That's all that's required.  IRS, Dept. of State, AND USCIS, all believe you received the income if you claim it and pay tax on it.

Thank you so much for answering. Of course i have a sponsor-my mom who's income is over 40K. I think that will be enough. Its just many people are scaring me saying that i must work except for tutoring, otherwise the embassy will reject my case thinking my husband will not work. It just does not make sence, how can i work if im a student, a single mom with a toddler who's waiting for her husband. At least im easring some money by tutoring.

When the petitioner does not find the minimum required, the sponsor is used, so the important thing is to cover that minimum required according to the number of people that makes up your home plus of the sponsor family

With a qualified joint sponsor, you should be fine.  However THEY do not care WHY you aren't working as an employee or WHY you think you can't.  They are making judgment calls based on facts.  Your "reasons" aren't a consideration.
