We received our interview date for May 4, 2006 in Newark. The USCIS has not been updated to reflect "touched" or anything! The bottom has a check list of what to bring, they only have passport,I-94,and travel document checked off to bring with us!

I am going to bring everything else anyway, but I thought it was weird that they did not even have "supporting evidence of a relationship" checked off.

good luck on your interview

Thanks for sharing about your interview date and congrats - I envy you, you have something to wait for...

Well, we're in Newark too and in limbo.

When I read your timeline, I got upset, you've had a long wait...

But then allynela who filed 2 months after you got the interview earlier, April 21st!

All our docs were received on 1/3/2006...

I guess I should just stop counting.

I just don't want to spend the summer waiting...

Someone on VJ guessed our interview will be on June 4th.

Funny...

Does anyone have a remedy for impatience?

I was very impatient too, I would check the USCIS website at least 10 times a day, but it doesn't make things go any faster. Newark has been pretty slow but it seems they are getting better. I always estimated our interview to be between April and June, so with the AOS I have had no surprises (yet) You need to just take a deep breath, and be happy that you are both here, together and not separated in different countries, at least that is the way I see it. May I too wish you a speedy process for AOS

Remedy for impatience:

1 boneless pork loin roast (2-3 lbs) -- or if you are adverse to pork, make it beef.

1 can (14.5 oz) chicken broth

1 cup unsweetened apple juice or apple cider

1/2 cup Dijon mustard

6 tablespoons cornstarch

6 tablespoons cold water

Cut roast in half; place in a 5-qt. slow cooker. Combine the broth, apple juice and mustard; pour over the roast. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 4.5 hours or until a meat thermometer reads 160'.

Remove the roast and keep warm. For gravy, strain cooking sauces and skim fat. Pour juices into a saucepan. Combine the cornstarch and water until smooth; gradually stir in the juices. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Serve with the roast.

For an excellent side-dish, cinnamon applesauce and glazed carrots are good.

Top it off with a bottle of wine or cups of cider.
