Ended up spending over $1k for medical. Interview is Tuesday so I'm ready for this part to finally be over.

Whoa that included the actual medical along with booster shots. What about using insurance?

Gee that was a little more than mine even. Was any attempt made to get the shots at the local clinics? Good luck on the interview also shouldn't be any problems

No attempts were made because we thought the ones he had were fine since they weren’t expired. They had him do an extra exam, which is why it was so much. Looking forward to good news tomorrow.

There was an extra exam. There’s no insurance. He paid cash.

Approved!!! His interview was about 10 minutes. They didn’t ask for any documents at all 😑. But he had a good chat with the officer who was pleasant and he was approved quickly.

That would be great if they reimbursed you. It's just going to be money spent for us. We'll know how much we're paying in a few weeks after we set our appointment. Still waiting for other documents. It's been the longest few months but hopefully we'll have more movement soon.

Btw, I got a cheque from Colina for $233.00. Small things considered, it is a great help! Worth the wait.

That’s wonderful for you guys. My fiancé doesn’t have insurance so it’s just money gone.

Does it normally takes 8 days for a shipment to arrive at the US embassy in Nassau ? My case number was assigned from July 16th it’s been in transit for as mentioned above 8 days my fiancé received an email stating NVC will now forward our case to the embassy in Nassau it may take up to “several weeks” my fiancé will be contacted once case arrived. Meanwhile DHL tracking isn’t working for me however another visa journey member from Ireland said her own work and her embassy received her case in two days.
