Visa Processing Duration

Hello,

I submitted my passport alongside my parent's last Thursday for renewal through DHL (as we qualified for the Visa Interview Waiver). We were told the process would take up to 30 working days. Can anyone please confirm this? I have checked online but all I see is 10-15 working days.

It would help if they put up this information on their website. I m very conscious because I am scheduled for a business trip towards the end of next month. Normally, our passports are ready for collection between 3-5 days after submission.

Personally I always apply for visit visas at least a month in advance because you never know what happens - I got my passport literally lost inside a British consulate for almost a month once. Hopefully you’ll get yours back in time.

 

processing times can vary with season too for example heading into summer with a lot of both visit and student visa applications can slow certain embassies down quite considerably at times.

All embassies give you a 30-day turnaround time due to possibility of unforeseen circumstances. Times to get passports back always vary depending on how many passports with visas have to be processed and how many officers are assigned to handle those processes.

It can vary for sure - my uncle had his tourist visa last month in 3 days (Vietnam) after his interview and he lives about 100 km from the consulate.
