"Interview was completed and the case must be reviewed"

Hey guys,

I had an interview this morning and the IO said he was going to review my file some more and send me a letter if he ever needs something. He said there's no time frame when it will be done. Then an hour later, my status change to "Interview was completed and the case must be reviewed" This is the first time I've ever seen this status. Is this normal? Anyone has the same experience? My case has been pending for almost 2 years next month and I need to wait some more. This is nerve wrecking. I'm so anxious. My case wasn't even based on marriage, it should have been pretty straightforward. Thanks guys!

As you said, IO said he was going to "review my file some more"...so a status update of "the case must be reviewed" makes sense.  Perhaps he just needs his supervisor to look it over, or they need to run some checks on whatever was brought up in question during your interview.  Without much details, hard to say.

Hopefully you'll hear something soon.

I think as the IO said they need to review your file, or a supervisor or whoever...

Since our case is not similar I can't tell you an exact timeframe, but USCIS was missing some of our stuff at the AOS interview and the IO said she needs to request them and if something is up they will send an RFE. I assume it depending on the office, but it took for us 3 weeks to get approved after the interview. While waiting I had the same status and got a paper at the interview that the interview was complete and they need further review or something like that. (Looks like I lost that paper)

If you search on this forum with the exact phrase you will find other people. My conclusion basically this status is like an AP and it has no set timeframe and it depends on a lot of circumstances....

Hope you will hear something soon.

PS: Not sure but I think you can make an inquiry if you didn't hear anything in 120 days...

Congrats on your greencard approval!

Yeah I hope I will hear something soon. Thanks for your reply! I will update here as soon as I hear something. I think they need to re-check something because I got a court summon for a petty crime, but I was never arrested and the prosecutor declined to press charges. I submitted my court decision at the interview. Do you think there will be a problem? I don’t even have any arrest record on my criminal rap sheet. I submitted that to the IO as well.

I don't know about that. I assume it depends on the crime too, but I don't know details about that. Maybe somebody more experienced can chime in and give an opinion about it.
