This is probably something that most of you already know but I found it quite interesting.  I have been corresponding with another member here on the forum regarding RFE responses.  According to her, the USCIS apparently only collects the RFE responses from their P.O. Box once a week - presumably on Monday.  I was hoping that was not true as I had spent $25 to get my response into them overnight.  According to the tracking info, my RFE response was signed for at the Post Office on 9/4 but I just received notification today that they received it only yesterday.  Just thought I would put that out there for anyone else that may be preparing a response to their RFE.  No need to waste your money trying to get it there on any other day but Monday.  Just a FYI.

Now that my response has been officially received, I get to start the same waiting game that many of you have already suffered through.  A pattern that I am also finding interesting is that most of the people never receive any online notification of their NOA2 but rather just have to wait to receive it in the mail.  I find it odd since most people that don't have the misfortune of receiving an RFE, actually get notified electronically of their NOA2.  Of course I am sure there are exceptions.  Just something that I have been noticing.

We sent ours on Tuesday 8/6 and they received it on 8/8. Website status changed to RFE received on 8/9. But regarding expensive delivery services, you definitely shouldn't do that. Just use USPS Priority 2-Day Mail least expensive and gets there in time.

I wish I had known this before. I sent mine on August 22, (overnight) and the website updated to “received” on August 28th.

All the best!!
