Domestic violence past record

My husband has a past domestic violence record. He got 2yrs probation and already finish. Now I get bit worried because maybe it will affect our future plan to file spousal visa.. need some enlightenment, do we need immigration lawyer to do it or we can do it by our own. If ever we will do it on our own which part of the form we need to declare the past record?

Then unless his record includes a sex crime against a child, this is a non-issue.  Whether HE can do it himself depends on his aptitude and attitude, etc.  There is no "legal issue" as a result of the charge you mention that would directly impact a spouse immigration process.

Thank u so much for clarification, I feel relieved. I know that hes different person compare to the accusations by His ex gf.
