I have a question regarding this,

if our interview is before the religious ceremony then how will they even know we had a religious ceremony? obviously if they ask we would tell them and we will never lie.

As long as you don't show pics or say anything about it they won't. Just keep in mind that if down the line they find out that you were ineligible for K1 and still got it, they can revoke your status at that point.

A religious ceremony is not illegal and should not make you ineligible, but in the end it's up to the officer.

If I were you I would just wait with the religious ceremony till after your actual marriage, just to be safe, but in the end it's up to you.

understood, thank you. being of indian descent, our parents would want some sort of ceremony prior to her living with us.

Also, my fiance has a visa to live in the UK but is holds an indian passport citizen. Would this have any issue at her interview or granting the visa for us?

Many foreign spouses have citizenship in one country and legal residency in another. That is not a problem for the fiancé visa application.
