FYI, For my parents US visit last year, i did put my information in who pays for the trip field as my elderly parents were stay home parents. They didn’t bring any documents with them other than the application confirmation, passport and PP photos. They already visited and returned back in 5 and half months.

 

My wife’s parents also got their visitor visa approved last month. Same thing, no documents, just in person questions.

I did read your sample letter. It seems too long for COs to read it. Even if they read it, it looks like you are providing documents that shows there is no reason for your inlaws to return back to their country, so it may actually backfire.

 

If you can’t stop urself from sending such letter, just provide a short and sweet invitation saying like “ You two would like to invite your in laws for ...(purpose)... and you will be financially responsible for their visit”
