I had a question for Ukrainian women who were successful at their K-1 visa interview at the U.S. Embassy in Kiev.  I apologize if this question has been asked previously.

I understand you find out at your interview if you are successful.  About how long did it then take for your passport (with visa attached) to arrive at your home?  I’m a little ahead of the game right now but just wondering.  3 days?  5 days?  7 days?  Longer?

Due to mail being not always reliable, it might be better option to tell TMM to hold passport for pick up at location that is close to their home. This is what we did anyway. Here what our timeline was. Interview at Feb 13. verbally approved, passport  left at embassy, Feb 20 Visa shows as "Issued" at CEAC site, Feb 21, notified that passport and visa is available for pick up, and picked up same day. So overall 8 days from approval to visa on hand.

The approval slip at Kiev says 5 working days which easily translates into 7 calendar days plus 1 or 2. Then it depends upon how the passport shall be delivered (the applicant must choose when they create their account with CEAC). The passport is delivered with courier service TMM Express and if I chose home delivery in my city (not Kiev) I could have waited for a couple of weeks. So my estimation will be like 8 to 9 calendar days. Today our case was re-created and we were placed into AP which fits perfectly into my estimation.

After 1 day of AP this morning my status changed to Issued. With the interview on Monday it took exactly 5 working days as the slip stated. So now it's just a matter of TMM delivery speed.

Stumbled upon this thread, so I'll post our stuff.

Interview 1 APR

CEAC "Administrative Processing" 2 APR

CEAC "Issued" 3 APR (today)

Hoping for pickup notification either tomorrow or Friday. Looks like for Shiran it was next day, but I don't know how usual that is. She's picking up from the main hub in Kyiv.
