Husband filing for AOS from K1 - question

4 posts in this topic

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

My husband is applying for AOS. We got married on 3/18/2019,  and I haven't changed my last name yet.

On the I-485 it asks for his spouses last name, and I put the last name that I have right now.

If I change my last name while the AOS is in progress, will there be any issues? Since what he put on the I-485 won't be true anymore?

No, because it was your name at the time of application.
