Hi I have a trip on 11 of April and my oath ceremony is on 4 . I booked that trip with my Italian passport but as I understand since I become us citizen only can travel with the American one. Should I change or delay the oath ceremony for when I came back? Is that possible or will be delay forever? Thank you .

well..its up to you which is the right thing to do..you been waiting for this moments to finally finish this filling the residency once you are a usc ..do you want to waste few more weeks or months to be a usc?

What a conundrum!  I don't see anywhere written that they'd give you leniency on that, either.  I'd like to think they would but it doesn't sound like it is worth the risk.  If you can't/won't cancel the trip, just delay your oath ceremony.

Your oath is on April 4 and your trip is on April 11? I think you can get an expedited passport if you apply in person at a Passport Agency with proof of travel. More expense if you have to travel far or fly in but I would rather do that than postpone the oath ceremony. Good luck!
