Hi Nomi, 

I was waiting for case complete to update you. Let me tell you where I am right now. 

I had filled I-864 and made my husband fill I-864A. We file taxes jointly and I have no income. Applicant is my mother.

 

So far, on CEAC website, the document statuses are:

My I-864 : accepted

2017, 2016, 2015 tax transcripts: accepted

Everything else for me(sponsor): accepted

Hubby’s I-864A: submitted

2017, 2016, 2015 tax transcripts: accepted

Proof of relationship with household member (our marriage cert): submitted

Everything else for hubby(household member) accepted

 

 

So as you see, I’m very close to case complete. No idea why they haven’t reviewed those 2 documents yet. 

 

I realize the interview will most likely be after April 15, 2019 tax due date. I will make sure my mother has a copy of our 2018 tax transcript with her during the interview. I suggest you do the same. They are very likely to demand it at interviews later than April 15th. 

 

When I get a “documentarily qualified” email from NVC, I will update you here.

But you also sended 1040 for 2018 ? Right 

 

My issue is I have 1040 and w2 for 2018 and job letter as well is that enough for nvc ?

Or I also have irs transcript w2 for 2017 ? 

I think suggestions what should I upload cuz my interview will be for sure after may 2019 or so but since my joint sponsor will be filling taxes end of March so transcript wont be available but he will send me complete 1040 n w2 job letter should I be worried about anything???

Also another question let sey if my co sponsor fill i864 now by using 2017 tax papers and when I get my interview and required to bring 2018 tax returns then do they also need i864 new forms with 2018 details ???

Or they will use old 2017 i864 papers and just want 2018 transcript and w2 ?

No I didn’t send anything for 2018. We will do our 2018 taxes end of March. 

 

I’m not saying that’s the right way. I did so, because we haven’t filed 2018 yet. See, our I-864A hasn’t been reviewed yet. I will update you if it gets rejected or accepted.

If I send his 1040 w2 and job letter and 2017 transcript and w2 is that sufficient or do I need 2018 transcript only problem transcript wont be available 4 to 6 week after filling his taxes

Do we need to take orignal birth certificate of petitioner (my brother) at the time of interview ?

Or photocopy is ok ?

Nomi I wanted to let you know, I got a case complete today.

To remind you, I only submitted 2017-2016-2015 tax transcripts, no 1040 or W2s for those years or 2018.

My mom’s interview will most probably be after April 15th, the tax deadline. If I can get it by the interview date, my mom will take my 2018 tax transcript to the interview. If not, she will take my tax return with her.
