Sorry if this is in the wrong area. New to the website still.

My case has been in AP since my interview ended, for about a month now. I supplied the medical with extra documents on my health like requested which did delay even further. But all this has been received by the US embassy, I assume as I got an email today.

The email stated I needed to send my intent and my fiances intent to marry by the email they provided, I did that and they sent a confirmation email back. It said this -

Consular Section Comments:

In order to issue your visa, please be advised our consular officer has requested the following document letter from your petitioner stating the intent to get married within 90 days from your arrival in the United States. The statement can be handwritten, but it has to be recent and signed by your petitioner. Since it doesn't have to be an original, please feel free to send the letter to the following email address: Lndivsubmissions@state.gov but please make sure to include your case number in the subject field. Kind regards, I.V. Unit U.S. Embassy London

Best regards,

The CSRA Visa Appointment and Information Service Team

My case status changed to READY this morning and when reading the fine print it states to prepare for my interview, BUT I've already had said interview and medical. What does this mean? Just that they're ready to process the visa after they receive the documents from me?

My interview date was 29th Jan, he told me I was neither approved nor denied but was waiting on medical results. Which was to be expected anyway.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

The instructions box often has misleading or incorrect information for K-1s. I'd just wait.

it means nothing, at this point they are still working on your case, you can start to get excited when under US department of state changes to Non Immigrant visa, this is signs that it will be issued soon as K1 are non immigrant till you file for AOS.

It may go back and forth a bit. It can be pretty random. Ready probably means they got the things needed. Don't be surprised it it goes back to AP again. Eventually it will say Non-Immigrant.

Issued is the status meaning the visa is printed. In London it takes about 2 days after Issued for it to be passed to the courier who will package it and email you about delivery.
